New 3 STEP Guide For New Victims

SCARS is pleased to introduce our new SCARS 3 Step Guide For New Victims of Romance Scams based upon our nearly 30 years of experience.

Our new guide (https://againstscams.org/for-new-scam-victims-the-3-steps/) is the result of our accumulated experience in support tens of thousands of scam victims directly over the last five years. It represents the 3 basic steps that every scam victims needs to understand and perform after they discover their scam.

It lays out the realities of the time immediately after the scam ends and how to begin the process of regaining control and moving forward to recovery.

According to Vianey Gonzales, SCARS Director “this is very important and will help all new victims understand how to properly end the scam completely,” and she added “that most new victims are frightened and confused, and this 3 Step guide will help them understand how to take control.”

FAQ: How Do You Properly Report Scammers?

It is essential that law enforcement knows about scams & scammers, even though there is nothing (in most cases) that they can do.

Always report scams involving money lost or where you received money to:

  1. Local Police – ask them to take an “informational” police report – say you need it for your insurance
  2. Your National Police or FBI (www.IC3.gov »)
  3. The SCARS|CDN™ Cybercriminal Data Network – Worldwide Reporting Network on www.Anyscam.com »

This helps your government understand the problem, and allows law enforcement to add scammers on watch lists worldwide.
