SCARS ANNOUNCEMENT: Revoked / Debarred Members

Special Announcement From The Society Of Citizens Against Relationship Scams Inc.

We are preparing a new page on our website to identify those SCARS Members that have had their Membership Revoked. This will make it easier for consumers to identify those Members – either individuals or groups that violated the SCARS Code of Conduct and International Standards for Victims’ Assistance.

SCARS Membership is a privilege extended to individuals and groups that make a commitment to follow the highest ethical standard in supporting and care for scam victims.

Anti-scam groups that are not SCARS Members do not care enough about victims to meet the ethical standards that apply to crime victim assistance providers the world over! Crime Victims Assistance is a professional occupation that demands the highest quality care and conformance with the care needed to help victims recover and move forward.

If you are part of a Group that is not a SCARS Member ask to apply for SCARS Membership – it is free! CLICK HERE TO APPLY »

Anyone that criticizes such standards are only playing into the hands of cybercriminals and willfully disregarding the care and safety of all scam victims.

When the page is ready we will post the web address on our websites and on our Facebook pages.

FAQ: How Do You Properly Report Scammers?

It is essential that law enforcement knows about scams & scammers, even though there is nothing (in most cases) that they can do.

Always report scams involving money lost or where you received money to:

  1. Local Police – ask them to take an “informational” police report – say you need it for your insurance
  2. Your National Police or FBI (www.IC3.gov »)
  3. The SCARS|CDN™ Cybercriminal Data Network – Worldwide Reporting Network on www.Anyscam.com »

This helps your government understand the problem, and allows law enforcement to add scammers on watch lists worldwide.
