SCARS Victimization Research Lab

Expanding our Understanding of the Victimization Experience

Helping to better support and educate relationship scam victims worldwide, and the development of victim support best practices

Established 2015

SCARS studies practical solutions to aid online crime victims. Finding & establishing best practices in education and support, and expanding knowledge of their psychology.

Our lab is staffed by our psychology advisory panel members and our managing director.

This is an operational unit of the Society of Citizens Against Relationship Scams Inc., a nonprofit organization incorporated in Florida USA with offices in the U.S. and Mexico.

Our mission is to better understand the mind of relationship scam victims and be able to apply that understanding to their support, education, and care.

Additionally, SCARS provides support for academic studies of the crime victim experience and invites researchers to contact us about their studies. Researchers can contact us at research@AgainstScams.org

Note that SCARS is not a mental healthcare provider.
