FAQ: How Do You Properly Report Scammers?
It is essential that law enforcement knows about scams & scammers, even though there is nothing (in most cases) that they can do.
Always report scams involving money lost or where you received money to:
- Local Police – ask them to take an “informational” police report – say you need it for your insurance
- Your National Police or FBI (www.IC3.gov »)
- The SCARS|CDN™ Cybercriminal Data Network – Worldwide Reporting Network on www.Anyscam.com »
This helps your government understand the problem, and allows law enforcement to add scammers on watch lists worldwide.

James, yes it sounds like a scam. If you lost money: the way to report this is first with your local police – they are your first responders, then always report all scams to the FTC at https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/?orgcode=SCARS and to SCARS at http://www.Anyscam.com – optionally, you can also report to the FBI at http://www.IC3.gov or 1-800-CALL-FBI You can find more places to report here: https://romancescamsnow.com/reporting-entity-directory/

Yes, it is a major shock to find out that the person is not real and that it was all a scam. Come and join our educational and community group on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/SCARS.Avoidance.Information.Public.Group/
Just remember, it will hurt, but do not let yourself get trapped in hate. You will get through this. We are here to help.
I have scanned through all the photo’s which are on your website which are supposedly stolen identities of people being used by scammers and can identify a number of photographs which are identical to an individual I have been communicating with and have also seen the individual on live video which match the photo so, although you sya these are stolen identities, is it a possibility that the photo’s contained on your website are actually scammers themselves ? I believe the person I have been in dialogue with to be a scammer and has displayed all the tell tale signs of being so.
John, if you feel like they are not real then it doesn’t matter if they are or not – go with your instinct. Report them on http://www.Anyscam.com and block them!
Then do your best to recover from the experience. We can help, just let us know!
