SCARS NEWS: Chairman and Founder Dr. Tim McGuinness, Presenting at the Greater Miami Business Forum
April 18, 2019
Our Chairman and Founder Dr. Tim McGuinness, presenting at the Greater Miami Business Forum at the Intercontinental Hotel in Doral Florida about cybercrimes and their impact on victims!
Seeking to both educate about online socially engineered fraud and how devastating it can be on victims.
Just consider that in the United States every single day there are 10,000 adults who turn 65 years old and that these are one of the primary targets of scammers. SCARS|ANALYTICS estimated that 1 in 10 of those new seniors will be scammed within 5 years.
Yet we need the help and support of America’s business community to help reach the public in ever larger numbers. Businesses can play a huge role in helping to educate their workforce and their customers about socially engineered scams. Especially since businesses are frequently targeted, not just individuals.
SCARS is developing nationwide consortiums to expand their reach in educating consumers everywhere. This has been started in both Miami, Cincinnati, and Dover Delaware, and will expand to Washington D.C. and other major venues later this year.
SCARS continues to enjoy the most prestigious position as the global leader and was met with both recognition of this and commitments for support in multiple ways.
Miami Florida U.S.A.

FAQ: How Do You Properly Report Scammers?
It is essential that law enforcement knows about scams & scammers, even though there is nothing (in most cases) that they can do.
Always report scams involving money lost or where you received money to:
- Local Police – ask them to take an “informational” police report – say you need it for your insurance
- Your National Police or FBI (www.IC3.gov »)
- The SCARS|CDN™ Cybercriminal Data Network – Worldwide Reporting Network on www.Anyscam.com »
This helps your government understand the problem, and allows law enforcement to add scammers on watch lists worldwide.
